DOCUMENTARY WORK
Curing the Consciousness
Harvesting Hope
Curing the Consciousness is a documentary I co-directed and produced in CTPR 474, a documentary production course at USC’s School of Cinematic Arts. My partner and I had a shared interest in psychedelics as a solution for mental health - so we spoke with a therapist, a professor, and a passionate activist.
JOUR 405 is a journalism-focused documentary production course where students spend a semester creating documentaries for Impact, an award-winning hour-long documentary show that with a weekly broadcast on Spectrum News 1 Network. My documentary, Harvesting Hope, focuses on the impact of gleaning and food harvesting on low-income communities. Coming soon!
FILM REVIEWS
As an avid cinephile, I was eager to take JOUR 430: Writing the Film Review taught by Justin Chang, Pulitzer Prize-winning film critic. For this course, we were tasked to watch a movie and write a review by the following week. Below are some of my reviews written for the course!
SCRIPT COVERAGE
Script Coverage and Story Analysis, taught by screenwriters Jeanie Bergen and Zach Cannon, gave me a wealth of knowledge on the ins and outs of script coverage, such as giving notes, identifying major points of a story, pitching projects, and an in-depth look into the film and TV development department. Below are some examples of coverage I wrote for the course.
